PREMIUM has been supporting the organisation LIGHT FOR THE WORLD in close cooperation for many years. Also this Christmas PREMIUM has financially supported the committed association with a donation of € 100,000.
LIGHT FOR THE WORLD is an international organization for inclusive development. It saves sight and gives people with disabilities a self-determined future. The goal is an inclusive society that is open to everyone and leaves no one behind - all people should be able to participate equally in their environment - in culture, politics, society and business.
For many years, PREMIUM has stood in close cooperation with LIGHT FOR THE WORLD and provides financial support for projects such as the construction of an eye clinic in Beira, Mozambique. In Mozambique - one of the poorest countries in the world - 115,000 blind people are waiting for an operation to save their eyesight. Many more people are hoping for basic eye care. With the construction of a new eye clinic and a training centre, 1,200 people can be operated on each year in the future and more than two million people can be provided with ophthalmic care.
