Vienna most liveable city according to "Economist"

Scored with health, education and infrastructure. For seven years, Melbourne has led the Economist list of the most livable cities. Now Vienna has replaced the Australian metropolis of millions.

The study by the renowned British business magazine "Economist", the "Economist Intelligence Unit Global Survey", receives a lot of attention every year. A total of 140 large cities were compared according to criteria such as infrastructure, education, health care, stability and culture.

In recent years, Vienna has been stable in second place. In this year's ranking, Vienna and Melbourne received the full score in health care, education, culture and infrastructure. According to the authors of the study, Vienna's high social security, political stability and low crime rate were also decisive factors in its top ranking. Here Melbourne lost points compared to the previous year.
