1st place in the 27th Urban Renewal Award: "From industrial to residential construction" - The residential project Bonygasse 2 in 1120 Vienna, developed by the Premium Group, convinced the jury of the 27th Vienna Urban Renewal Award in 2012. A purpose-built building of a former metal goods factory created over a hundred years of company history formed the basis of the project developed into a residential building as an existing property.
Finely tuned and preserved only parts of the building that allow for optimal residential use. All the others were demolished and rebuilt in a formal continuation of the impression of an industrial building. As part of a comprehensive renovation of the property - with sensitive handling of the existing building to merge old and new into a whole - the attic floor was expanded. Through the development of maisonette types from the 1st floor, optimal use of space with high-quality living was created in the connection of two floors.
Façade design concept:
The concrete skeleton was emphatically worked out to retain the essential characteristics of the building's industrial appearance. The architectural gesture undergoes a finely tuned transformation to residential use through wide wooden pass-part outs and generous window glazing.
Living room concept:
The property Bonygasse 8 is located in the 12th district of Vienna, near the pedestrian zone Meidlinger Hauptstrasse, walking distance from the underground line U6 "Niederhofstrasse" and the transport hub "Philadelphiabrücke". The location, in demand by tenants, combines the best transport connections with excellent infrastructure.
